Overview

Fuelled + is organized into two primary areas:

  • Asset Manager – Used to manage and organize your equipment, parts, inventory, locations, and operational assets.

  • Marketplace – Used to market and sell equipment to buyers on the Fuelled Marketplace.

A common way to think about it is:

Asset Manager = Internal Inventory Management

Marketplace = External Equipment Sales

Most organizations use both together.

What is Asset Manager?

Asset Manager is your organization's internal equipment and inventory management system.

It is designed to help you catalogue, organize, track, and manage equipment and parts across your business.

Within Asset Manager, you can:

  • Catalogue equipment and parts

  • Store photos and documentation

  • Assign locations

  • Assign business units

  • Track operational assets

  • Manage inventory records

  • Organize packages

  • Transfer assets between locations

  • Maintain equipment information over time

Asset Manager is where equipment records live and are maintained.

Common Asset Manager Activities

  • Adding a newly acquired compressor

  • Cataloguing equipment from a yard audit

  • Uploading manuals and drawings

  • Assigning equipment to a location

  • Tracking inventory across multiple facilities

  • Managing surplus equipment before deciding whether to sell it

What is Marketplace?

Marketplace is where equipment is listed for sale and marketed to buyers.

While Asset Manager focuses on managing assets internally, Marketplace focuses on generating buyer interest and facilitating equipment sales.

Within Marketplace, you can:

  • Create equipment listings

  • Publish equipment for sale

  • Manage pricing

  • Upload listing photos and videos

  • Receive buyer inquiries

  • Track listing performance

  • Manage customers

  • Promote listings with Featured Listings

  • Track sold equipment

Marketplace is where buyers discover and engage with your equipment.

Common Marketplace Activities

  • Listing a separator for sale

  • Publishing surplus inventory

  • Updating pricing

  • Managing buyer inquiries

  • Promoting equipment with Featured Listings

  • Tracking sold equipment

How Asset Manager and Marketplace Work Together

The most common Fuelled workflow is:

Step 1: Catalogue Equipment

Create and maintain equipment records within:

Asset Manager → Equipment

Step 2: Manage Asset Information

Add:

  • Specifications

  • Photos

  • Documentation

  • Locations

  • Business Units

Step 3: Convert Equipment to a Listing

When you're ready to sell equipment:

Asset Manager → Equipment → Action → Convert To Listing

Fuelled automatically creates a marketplace listing using information already stored in the equipment record.

Step 4: Publish to Marketplace

Review the listing and change the status to:

Available

The listing becomes visible to buyers on Fuelled Marketplace.

When Should I Use Asset Manager?

Use Asset Manager when you want to:

  • Track equipment ownership

  • Maintain inventory records

  • Manage operational assets

  • Organize locations and business units

  • Store equipment documentation

  • Build a complete asset catalogue

Asset Manager is ideal for equipment that may never be listed for sale.

When Should I Use Marketplace?

Use Marketplace when you want to:

  • Sell equipment

  • Advertise inventory

  • Generate buyer inquiries

  • Promote surplus assets

  • Track listing performance

  • Reach Fuelled buyers

Marketplace should be used whenever equipment is actively being marketed for sale.

Recommended Workflow

Fuelled recommends using both systems together:

Asset Manager

Catalogue and manage your equipment inventory.

Marketplace

Market and sell equipment to buyers.

Best Practice Workflow

Catalogue Equipment → Manage in Asset Manager → Convert To Listing → Publish on Marketplace

This approach reduces duplicate data entry, keeps inventory records accurate, and makes it easier to market equipment when it becomes available for sale.
