What Is a Lead on Fuelled?

A lead is created whenever a buyer contacts your organization through one of your marketplace listings.

Buyers can start a conversation directly from the listing page by selecting:

Message Seller

This creates a conversation between the buyer and your organization inside Fuelled Messages.

Unlike traditional email inquiries, all communication remains connected to the specific listing being discussed, making it easier to manage buyer conversations and sales opportunities.

How Buyers Contact You

Step 1: Buyer Views Your Listing

A buyer discovers one of your marketplace listings on Fuelled.

They can review:

  • Equipment details

  • Photos

  • Specifications

  • Documents

  • Certifications

  • Seller information

Step 2: Buyer Selects "Message Seller"

From the listing page, the buyer selects:

Message Seller

They can then send questions about:

  • Availability

  • Pricing

  • Condition

  • Specifications

  • Documentation

  • Inspection requests

  • Logistics and transportation

This automatically creates a new conversation in Fuelled Messages.

What Happens When a New Lead Arrives?

When a buyer sends a message:

  1. A conversation is created in Fuelled Messages

  2. The inquiry is attached to the listing

  3. Assigned team members are notified

  4. The conversation becomes available in:

    • Fuelled Web Dashboard

    • Fuelled Mobile App

All messages remain organized under the associated listing.

How Lead Routing Works

Fuelled automatically routes inquiries to designated users within your organization.

Account-Level Routing

Organizations can assign users who receive all marketplace inquiries.

Examples:

  • Sales Managers

  • Business Development Teams

  • Equipment Coordinators

  • Customer Service Representatives

These users receive notifications whenever a buyer contacts your company.

Listing-Level Routing

Individual listings can also be assigned to specific team members.

This is useful when:

  • Different divisions manage different inventory

  • Regional teams manage local assets

  • Sales representatives own specific listings

  • Product specialists manage certain equipment categories

When a buyer contacts that listing, notifications are sent directly to the assigned users.

Notifications

When a new lead arrives, assigned users can receive:

Push Notifications

Delivered directly to the Fuelled Mobile App.

Email Notifications

Delivered to the user's email address.

In-App Notifications

Displayed within the Fuelled platform.

This helps ensure buyer inquiries are seen and responded to quickly.

Responding to Leads

From there you can:

  • View all conversations

  • Respond to buyers

  • Track inquiry history

This allows your team to:

  • Communicate with buyers while travelling

All conversations remain synchronized across devices.

Sharing Additional Equipment

One of the most valuable features of Fuelled Messages is the ability to share additional marketplace listings directly within a conversation.

If a buyer inquires about one asset, you can recommend other equipment that may fit their requirements.

Shared equipment cards include:

  • Equipment image

  • Listing title

  • Listing ID

  • Price

This helps buyers discover more inventory without leaving the conversation.
