Understanding Marketplace Listing Statuses in Fuelled
Marketplace Listing statuses help you track where equipment sits within the sales lifecycle, from preparing a listing and making it available to buyers through sale, redeployment, closure, or removal from the marketplace.
These statuses apply to the Marketplace Listing itself rather than the underlying equipment record.

Fuelled uses a separate status system for equipment managed within your organization's internal inventory.
Overview
Marketplace Listing statuses are used to manage the sales and marketplace lifecycle of equipment listed through Fuelled.
They help your team understand whether a listing is:
Still being prepared
Available to buyers
Temporarily paused
Progressing through a sale
Sold
Redeployed internally
Removed from the marketplace
Being considered for scrap
Temporarily unavailable
Marketplace Listing statuses are separate from the Asset Manager status assigned to the underlying equipment record.
This means an equipment record and its Marketplace Listing may have different statuses at the same time.
Marketplace Listing Statuses
Draft
The listing is still being prepared and is not yet available to buyers on the Fuelled Marketplace.
Use this when:
Creating a new listing
Adding specifications
Uploading photos or documents
Adding pricing
Waiting for internal approval
Preparing the listing before publication
Example:
A compressor listing that your sales team is still completing before making it available to buyers.
Available
The listing is active and available to buyers on the Fuelled Marketplace.
Use this when:
Equipment is actively being marketed for sale
Buyers should be able to view the listing
Buyers should be able to make inquiries
The listing is ready for marketplace activity
Example:
A compressor package currently listed for sale on the Fuelled Marketplace.
Sold
The equipment associated with the listing has been sold and is no longer available to buyers.
Use this when:
The transaction has been completed
Ownership has transferred
The equipment should no longer be marketed
The listing should remain available for historical records
Example:
A buyer has completed the purchase of a separator package.
The underlying equipment record may also need to be updated within Asset Manager.
Closed
The listing has been permanently closed without the equipment being sold through the listing.
Use this when:
The equipment has been withdrawn from the market
Your organization has decided not to sell the equipment
The listing is no longer required
An internal business decision has ended the sales process
Example:
A piece of equipment is withdrawn from sale because the organization no longer wants to market it.
Redeployed
The equipment has been removed from the marketplace because it has been reassigned for internal operational use.
Use this when:
Equipment is required for another project
Equipment is transferred to another facility
Equipment is reassigned to a different operating area
Your organization decides to retain and reuse the equipment instead of selling it
Example:
A separator package listed for sale is required for a new project and is removed from the marketplace for internal redeployment.
Redeployed describes what happened to the Marketplace Listing. The underlying equipment record continues to have its own Asset Manager status.
Review Required
The listing requires additional information, validation, or approval before it can be published or treated as complete.
Use this when:
Listing information is incomplete
Required specifications are missing
Photos are missing or require review
Pricing has not been added
Documents are incomplete
Internal review or approval is required
Example:
A listing created through Quick Catalogue that requires additional information before it can be published.
Other
The listing has a status that does not fit one of the standard Marketplace Listing workflows.
Use this when:
A unique operational scenario applies
Your organization's workflow does not match one of the standard statuses
A special circumstance needs to be recorded
Whenever possible, use one of the standard Marketplace Listing statuses instead of Other.
On Hold
The listing has been temporarily paused.
Use this when:
Equipment is temporarily reserved
A buyer is evaluating the equipment
An inspection is underway
Internal approval is pending
Your organization temporarily wants to pause marketplace activity
Example:
A buyer has requested an inspection and the listing is placed On Hold while the evaluation is completed.
Pending Sale
A transaction is actively progressing, but the sale has not yet been finalized.
Use this when:
A buyer has committed to purchasing the equipment
Negotiations have been completed
A purchase agreement is being processed
Payment is pending
Ownership has not yet officially transferred
Example:
A signed purchase agreement is in place and the seller is waiting for payment before completing the transaction.
Pending Scrap
The equipment associated with the listing is being considered for disposal rather than continued marketplace sale.
Use this when:
Scrap value is being assessed
Disposal approval is pending
Your organization is deciding whether to scrap the equipment
The equipment is being removed from the normal sales process while its disposition is reviewed
Example:
An older piece of equipment is removed from active sale while the organization determines whether it should be scrapped.
Scrapped
The equipment associated with the listing has been permanently removed from service and disposed of.
Use this when:
The equipment has been dismantled
The equipment has been destroyed
Scrap processing has been completed
The equipment will no longer be sold or returned to service
Example:
A damaged vessel is permanently disposed of after being determined unsuitable for sale or reuse.
The underlying equipment record may also need its Asset Manager status updated.
Unavailable
The equipment cannot currently be offered for sale through the Marketplace Listing.
Use this when:
Equipment is undergoing repair
Equipment is awaiting inspection
Ownership or availability is being reviewed
Equipment is temporarily unavailable for sale
Operational decisions are still being made
Example:
A compressor is temporarily unavailable for sale while maintenance is completed.
Common Marketplace Listing Workflows
Marketplace Listing statuses help communicate where a listing sits within its sales lifecycle.
Preparing a New Listing
Review Required → Draft → Available
The listing is reviewed, completed, and made available to buyers.
Selling Equipment
Available → Pending Sale → Sold
The equipment is marketed, enters an active transaction, and is ultimately sold.
Temporarily Pausing a Listing
Available → On Hold → Available
The listing is temporarily paused and later returned to active marketplace availability.
Redeploying Equipment
Available → Redeployed
Your organization decides to retain the equipment for internal use and removes it from the marketplace.
Removing Equipment From Sale
Available → Closed
The listing is permanently closed without completing a sale.
Equipment Being Scrapped
Available → Pending Scrap → Scrapped
The equipment is removed from the normal sales process, reviewed for disposal, and ultimately scrapped.
Equipment Temporarily Unavailable
Available → Unavailable → Available
The equipment becomes temporarily unavailable for sale before becoming available again.
Marketplace Listing vs. Asset Manager Statuses
Fuelled uses separate Marketplace Listing and Asset Manager statuses because they track different parts of the equipment lifecycle.

For example, an equipment record could have an Available Asset Manager status while its Marketplace Listing is Draft, On Hold, or Pending Sale.
The two statuses do not always need to match.
Best Practices
Use Review Required when listing information needs to be completed or validated.
Use Draft while preparing a listing before it becomes available to buyers.
Use Available when the listing is ready for buyers to view and inquire about.
Use On Hold when marketplace activity needs to be temporarily paused.
Use Pending Sale when a transaction is actively progressing but has not yet closed.
Use Sold once the transaction has been completed.
Use Redeployed when equipment is removed from the marketplace for internal operational use.
Use Closed when a listing is permanently withdrawn without being sold.
Use Pending Scrap while disposal is being reviewed.
Use Scrapped once disposal has been completed.
Use Unavailable when equipment cannot currently be sold but may become available again.
Use Other only when none of the standard Marketplace Listing statuses accurately describe the situation.
Remember that Marketplace Listing statuses and Asset Manager statuses do not always need to match.
